The aim of the Talleres Alquezar clarifying and filtering plants is to recover and clean the water from the aggregate washing processes for its re-use.
The water is recovered in two stages: A first clarification stage, where the solid particles contained in the water from the aggregate wash are decanted with the aid of a flocculant, obtaining clean water and a wet sludge residue; and a final pressure filtering stage of the sludge, where we recover the water contained in the sludge, leaving a semi-dry clay residue, which is easy to dispose of.
The Alquezar clarification and filtering plants permit the re-use of up to 90% the water used in the aggregate washing plants, satisfying our commitment to protect the environment and make maximum use of the resources.
